Information Technology (IT) will provide the University with pricing and availability of computer technology equipment.  

To ensure the negotiation of best pricing and service agreements with University approved vendors, to confirm the facilitation of asset inventory control and to ensure compatibility with University standards.

This includes acquisitions to be paid for out of any extramural funding (grants, gifts, etc.) in addition to the general operating budget of the University.

IT will deliver and setup new hardware purchased by the University community.  IT will not be able to deliver support for hardware acquired without following this policy.
